FFF 2011 Launch
FREEDOMFILMFEST 2011 Launch
“DARE TO DOCUMENT”
Fans & followers of the FreedomFilmFest, you are invited to the launch of the FFF 2011!
The FreedomFilmFest (FFF) highlights human rights issues in Malaysia through the use of the powerful film medium! The human rights film festival was developed by KOMAS in 2003 to advocate human rights awareness and issues through the use of the film medium.
This year we will continue to have the film proposal competition where the 3 selected winning proposals will be made into films. Other highlights are the “community screenings” where we will bring the festival to the people! We will continue to organise the premier screenings of the 3 winning films in Selangor, Penang, Johor and Sarawak states in Malaysia. There will also be road shows & workshops among different sectors of Malaysian society all through out the campaign year.
The festival continues to feature the theme “DARE TO DOCUMENT” to serves as a call to ordinary citizens to use film to capture human rights stories and give their take on the current social and political situation in Malaysia.
The launch event will signify the opening for submission of film proposals for the competition open to all Malaysian citizens.
